Multiple teams and multiple users

WEDNESDAY 30TH OF SEPTEMBER 2015

This week we added support for organizations with multiple teams and multiple users.

One of the toughest challenges was simply working out what to call the different layers within the SpeedCurve app. Developers can spend years buried inside a data model but at the end of the day the UI has to be intuitive and easy to use! I hope we’ve done that and if not we’d love your feedback.

SpeedCurve now has a new “organization” and “team” structure that provides a great deal of flexibility when setting up a new account.

Larger organisations or agencies can now add multiple teams to their Enterprise plan. Billing and budgets are held at the organization level making it easy to manage costs while giving new teams access to SpeedCurve monitoring for their projects.

If you're an agency you can swap the idea of internal teams for clients. This lets you have an isolated set of dashboards for each client while easily swapping between them using the new menu if you belong to the organization. Each client only has access to their dashboards, while you have the ability to browse across dashboards.

Multiple users can be invited to join a team and you control their view or edit permissions for any of the SpeedCurve dashboards. Users can belong to multiple teams and even multiple organizations.

We also recently added new dashboard sharing links so you can either send someone a read-only private url (without them having to login) or invite a user to join your team.

Here’s a walk-through of the new account structure and features. If you're on an Enterprise plan you have access to these features now, otherwise get in touch to upgrade your existing account.

Up next we’re doing a complete redesign of the Settings UI which will provide a great deal more granularity for each Site being monitored.
